A.S.S. Gogama (Highway 144 – Timmins-Sudbury)

If you are journeying between Timmins and Sudbury on Highway 144; 2 km north of Gogama is the Gogama Unit Road (west side of 144), a primary forest access road.  Drive nine km to the trailhead on the east side (WGS 17 T  E1442884 N5291896    or   N47° 46.673’ W81° 45.744’.   It is a young jack pine forest planted after a micro bust.   Within 20-30 minutes you are at the top of the Bald Rock Scenic Lookout Trail with a truly expansive view to the horizon line.  The Northern one-horned Sasquatch really enjoyed the...

A.S.S. Mattawa River (North Bay-Mattawa)
